Takis foundation commissioned me to write the texts for their new 360 digital tour, read by Natalia Dragoumi! Visit the website and try out the virtual tour https://takisfoundation.org/el/virtual-tour-360/ . The Office of Hydrocommons: Hidden Waters

In this first episode, the curator Eleni Riga presents « The Office of Hydrocommons: Hidden Waters », a sound walk in collaboration with the artist Manolis Manousakis in the city of Novi Sad and along the Danube’s shores. This sound walk was conceived as an alternative mode of presentation and storytelling, revolving around a fluid curatorial structure on hydrocommons that Riga is currently developing at Atopos CVC in Athens, Greece. It consists of pre-recorded sounds from Attica’s hidden waters, interviews and excerpts of artworks currently in development.

On a rainy September afternoon, Riga shared her waters with the participants and asked them to reflect on theirs, forming a planetary assemblage of bodies of water. Novi Sad’s waters are visible and abundant, while Attica’s waters are scarce and hidden. This contraction amplifies the commonality that is found in our common wateriness and suggests a different way of being together in the face of global environmental challenges.
